Ethernet SwitchThe INS08G1 is a high performance/ low cost,
eight 10/100Mbps Full/Half Ethernet Bridge and one 1000/100/10
Gigabit port switch. The INS08G1 is intended for applications to
Standalone Bridge for low cost SOHO market.
INS08G1 supports backpressure in half-duplex mode and 802.3x
flow control in full duplex mode while buffer is full without
dropping packets. An intelligent address recognition algorithm
makes INS08G1 to recognize up to 4096 different MAC addresses
and enables filtering and forwarding at full wire speed.
The built-in 2Mbit RAM used for packet buffer and address
learning table, is divided into 512bytes/ block to achieve the
optimized memory utilization through complicated link list on
packets with various lengths.
INS08G1 also supports port-base, 802.lp, and IP TOS field
checking for priority. Each output port supports four queues in
the way of fixed 8-4-2-l fairness queuing to fit the bandwidth
demand on various types of packet such as Voice, Video and
data.802.1Q, Tag/1JIltag,and up to16 group of VLAN also is
supported and could be performed on two connected INS08G1 for
16port switch segment. Port 7,8 could be set as one MAC-base
trunking group for uplinking a server or its counterpart through
400Mbps bandwidth (Optional).
